Lawrence is a seasoned underwriter with about 20 years post graduate experience in insurance brokerage, underwriting, claims processing, marketing, and management. Lawrence started his insurance career with Solutions Insurance Brokers Ltd as a supervisor, before leaving for Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in 2007 as a technical staff. His desire to expand his knowledge base propelled him to join Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc in 2008 as a marketing executive. In 2010, he joined the business development group of International Energy Insurance Plc before exiting in 2014, to join Goldlink Insurance Plc as the Abuja branch manager. In 2018, he joined Davisther Brokers Ltd as the Regional Director, Northern Operations then later joined Global Allianz Insurance Brokers Ltd in 2019 as the General Manager (Operations). He was later appointed as the Managing Director, the position he held until his exit to pioneer Royalshield Insurance Brokers Ltd. Lawrence studied Insurance at the Lagos State Polytechnic and also holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration, with specialization in Human Resources Management from the Ahmadu Bello University. He is an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Institute of Organisational and Administrative Risk Management.
